Water Forum Day 1

So about a few weeks back, Mrs Ng interrupted our physics lesson and told us that as Core Geography students, we get to attend this youth water forum, where apparently, we (as youths) come together to solve the water problems the Singaporeans are creating now.

So Day 1, Wednesday, 25 June 2008
Thankfully, we could have a bit more sleep cuz Mr Boay helped us to argue and allowed us to be in school around...uhh 8 plus. So we met up at Macdonalds near school for breakfast. Germaine, Felicia, Melissa, Esther, Chun Hong, Engleng, ShaoPeng, YiHui, KangChun, Nigel, and ChengYong were there.(i'm sorry if i missed out anyone's name). And so we had our breakfast and went over to school. We got to wear the SC ties man! I don't think anyone else would get that previllage. Anyways, boarded the bus, and reached WaterHub. Waited around in the auditorium for about...and hour plus? Sit down, talk cock, blow air con. Not bad la.

Had a lot of nonsensical talks about Singapore's water issues. The only few words I could catch were "Water", "Scarce" "Resource" and "I-Don't-Give-A-Shit".

At 1030 we had a break, where the food was omg-i'm-starting-to-drool.

So after this, we had this talk by the AngMoh guy, Colin Lennox, Co founder of....hell, i'm gonna skip the long intro about the guy. Basically he had this loonng talk about Australia's water problems. Crikey

So we went for ANOTHER break, where to food was, once again, omg-i'm-starting-to-drool. This time round, it was lunch. So there was a whole lot more eating involved.

(I'm just gonna skip a lot of stuff in between so that you guys can see the pictures that i have instead.)

At 1pm, PUB guy talks.
At 2pm, makan, AGAIN.

At 2.15pm, Overseas delegates speak. This is the fun part where the guys who were sitting near me were laughing all the way. Started out with the guy from Fiji, where he had this weird monotone voice. Then there was the Indian woman who had the legendary "WHAT IS THIS?!
when the powerpoint slides were...screwed up. Then the next was the HongKong delegate with her HATS, or HongKong Area Treatment Scheme (pronounced Scam). Then there was the Pakistani with his weird clicking sound. The things we found funny are actually still used in class as jokes today.LOL

At 3.15pm, after all the laughing, we had ANOTHER break.

Then we broke off into our groups and talked about some of the stuff that well...could be used to present. later.

So in group 5, we...basically wasted our time sitting and...PRETENDING to discuss as our short facilitator tried to lead us. Conclusion, Height=Leadership

And then we came back and present our crappy stuff. Wasn't listening, so i don't think i can say much here. Anyways, went home from WaterHub and left for dinner at JustNoodles with church people @ Suntec.
